How do I configure F-Secure Internet Security to work with RockTrader PRO?

ANSWER

Please follow below instructions to configure F-Secure.

F-Secure configuration

1. Open F-Secure
2. Click on 'Virus & Spy Protection' on the left.
3. Click on 'Advanced' at the bottom right.
4. Click on 'Real-time scanning' on the left.
5. Click on 'Exclusions' on the bottom right.
6. Click on the Objects tab.
7. Check the 'Exclude Objects' checkbox.
8. Click 'Add'.
9. Browse for the .XIC file.
10. Click Ok.

Add RockTrader PRO into application control on F-Secure.

1. Open F-Secure.
2. Click on 'Internet Shield'.
3. Click on 'Advanced'.
4. Click on 'Application Control' on the left.
5. Click on the 'Connecting' tab.
6. Click 'Add'.
7. Click 'Browse' and file IitClientStaion2.exe under C:\Program Files\InvestorsEurope\RockTrader Pro
8. Double click the file.
9. Select 'Allow' for both Client (Outbound) and Server (Inbound).
10. Select 'Application only' for both verifies.
11. Click Ok.

Hardware Firewall

How do I configure my hardware firewall to work with RockTrader PRO?

ANSWER

The optimal way to connect to RockTrader PRO is through port 1001. To check the connectivity of port 1001, click Port Test page, then click port test link. If everything is working, you should receive the message: "You have reached the trading system port test page using TCP port 1001".

Please note that routers generally have built-in firewalls. These firewalls can sometimes cause connection issues for RockTrader PRO. Please refer to your router manual to find out how to configure the firewall to gain access through port 1001.

How do I configure McAfee Internet Security 2005 suite to work with RockTrader PRO?

ANSWER

Below explains how to run RockTrader PRO, if you have McAfee Security 2005 version 7.0 suite installed on your PC.

1. During the installation, the McAfee Security Suite will come with an alert stating that program RockTrader PRO is requesting access to the internet. Click on the button “Grant Access” in order to continue and complete the installation.

2. When you run RockTrader PRO for the first time, McAfee Security Suite will come with an alert stating that the program IitClientStation2.exe is requesting access to the internet. Click Grant Access to continue to login RockTrader PRO.

Please be aware that when new updates are available for RockTrader PRO, McAfee Internet Security Suite will ask you the same question as in point 2 above.

How do I configure Norton Internet Security suite to work with RockTrader PRO?

ANSWER

1. During the installation of RockTrader PRO, Norton Internet Security suite will come with an alert stating that the program RockTrader PRO is requesting access to the internet. Click CLOSE to continue the installation.

2. Norton Internet Security suite in default security mode will come with an alert stating that Norton Internet Security suite has learned that "IitClientStation2.exe" should access to the internet. Click CLOSE to accept the alert.

3. If Norton Internet Security suite is set as "high security", it will ask if Java applets should be allowed to run on your PC. Allow these Java applets when using RockTrader PRO.
