QUESTION

I cannot see Streaming news. When I open a news item I get message No Story Available.

ANSWER

Streaming news are only available trough subscription. By default you are not able to see it. 

However if you have subscribed to it so you will be able to see it. If not it can be due to:

 If you are connecting via a proxy server you should insert the proxy details under Connection Settings in RockTrader PRO.

Some internet service providers also operate with proxy servers, so checking with your internet service provider if they are using proxy can also be relevant. In case your internet service provider is using proxy you should insert their proxy details under RockTrader PRO and under Internet Explorer. To insert proxy server details under Internet Explorer open Internet Explorer and go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Lan settings > put a tick under Proxy server and insert the details.

If you do not connect via a proxy server and still get No Story Available you can try to connect via port 80. To do this goes to Connection Settings in RockTrader PRO and put a tick in Communicate using HTTP.

Disable chat

QUESTION

How to disable Chat function?

ANSWER

In order to disable Chat function, please do the following:

  1. Right-click on the body of the chat window.
  2. Choose Notification.
  3. Remove the ticks from ''Show chat window when message arrives" and ''Play sound when message arrives''.
  4. Close the chat window and save the workspace.

Same message

QUESTION

In my chat window the same message appears several times.

ANSWER

To solve the problem you should close your RockTrader PRO and do the following:

  1. Open only one Internet Explorer,click Tools > Internet Options.
  2. Click Delete Files and Cookies. ... (check mark in Delete Offline Content as well). If you are using Internet Explorer 7, click Delete and click Delete files under both Temporary Internet files and cookies.
  3. Close Internet explorer.
  4. Click Start > Control Panel > Java.
  5. Under General, click Delete Files...
  6. Delete Temporary Files window appears. Mark all the places and click OK.
  7. Restart RockTrader PRO .

Stop Beeping

QUESTION

How I stop annoying beeping from RockTrader PRO? This beeping is on when you are using the demo version or you have not subscribed to streaming news.

ANSWER

You have to go on each tabs: Global Markets, FX US, FX Majors, CFDs, Stocks and Futures and to remove on each on the streaming news box, using the cross related.
Then you have to save Workspace: Files > Save. Like that, beeping will disappear for good.
